Chaos erupted on the Korn Ferry Tour, the development tour for the PGA, when a fight erupted during a qualifier event in Newton, Kansas.
According to the NY Post, the fight was between golfers Austen Dailey and Luke Smith, neither of which are actually on the Korn Ferry Tour.
Apparently, Dailey approached Smith to suggest that he should help them search for lost golf balls, and as he walked away to the next hole, Smith allegedly jumped on Dailey’s back and began punching him.
The fight was eventually broken up by a third golfer, Derek Fribbs.
However, Smith’s dad Oliver seemingly wanted the beatdown to commence, as he began waving his putter in the air in front of the fight, preventing anyone from intervening.
Eventually, the fight was broken up and Smith was apprehended by the staff at the Sand Creek Station Golf Course, and he was arrested and escorted to the clubhouse after Dailey said he intended to press charges.
Fribbs said of the fight, "It was crazy, I can’t believe it happened."
