Inspired by Bruce Arians’ ink, Tom Brady shows off new ‘tattoo’ on Twitter

We’ve seen a new side of Tom Brady since joining the Buccaneers last offseason. After years of doing it the “Patriot Way,” the 43-year-old has cut loose in Tampa, as evidenced by his boozy shenanigans at the Bucs’ Super Bowl celebration last month (including his reckless trophy heave, a stunt that famously drew the ire of one Lorraine Groh).

Coach Bruce Arians (last seen addressing fans in a slurry, expletive-laden monologue), who is Bill Belichick’s polar opposite in every conceivable way, fulfilled a promise to his team by getting a tattoo, which he proudly displayed on social media earlier this week. Brady responded by showing off some ink of his own, tweeting out a photo of his new leg tat. Lest there be any confusion, the seven-time champion included a close-up shot of his new body art, accompanied by the viral photo that inspired it.

This is almost certainly an April Fool’s prank (it’s pretty clear the image of Arians, beer in hand, was photo-shopped), though the fantasy of Brady fully committing to his midlife crisis by getting a tattoo depicting his drunken coach is hilarious in its own right. New England’s robotic, win-at-all-costs mentality obviously took its toll on Brady, who has let his personality shine since leaving Foxboro for the delightful anarchy that is Western Florida.
