The Minnesota Wild unveiled their 2022 Winter Classic Jerseys on Saturday. The jerseys honor both of Minnesota's cities and will be worn at Target Field when the Wild play the St. Louis Blues on New Year's day 2022.
The Jerseys are "designed to celebrate the state's rich hockey pedigree, the rivalry of the Twin Cities, and its legacy as the State of Hockey."
Minnesota Wild Captain Jared Spurgeon dawned the new jersey that says "MPLS" over the top of an outline of the state of Minnesota containing the letters "MN." Underneath the state reads St. Paul.
The jersey was meant to unite the basic design from the St. Paul Saints look in the 1930s, with traditional Minnesota Wild colors.
The Wild will also wear a light brown pair of gloves and breezers with a "State of Hockey" logo on them.
The jersey was designed by Adidas in partnership with the Wild and the NHL.
