The Bengals appeared to get away with a blatant penalty on a game-changing touchdown strike to open the second half in Super Bowl LVI.

Cincinnati wide receiver Tee Higgins reeled in a 75-yard bomb from quarterback Joe Burrow -- but he appeared to commit a penalty on Rams defensive back Jalen Ramsey in the process.
The crucial play gave the Bengals their first lead of the game, but replays showed Higgins grabbed Ramsey's facemask and wrenched it sideways before he corralled the deep pass and sauntered into the end zone for the easy 6 points.
It looked like Higgins could have been called for either a 15-yard facemask infraction or offensive pass interference, either of which would have negated the score.
But it wasn't to be -- and many journalists and fans took to social media to register their disbelief.
