After honoring Michigan State's request to review the skirmish at the end of the Michigan-MSU game last Saturday, the Big Ten announced Tuesday that no discipline will be handed down.
Michigan's Colston Loveland and MSU's Anthony Jones went after each other with Michigan in victory formation as time ran out in the Wolverines' 24-17 win, prompting a scrum between players from both teams and both sidelines.
Michigan running back Kalel Mullings was seen stomping the ground amid a sea of bodies, but it's unclear based on video who or what was beneath him or why he appeared to be stomping in the first place.
The Big Ten said Tuesday that it "thoroughly reviewed video of the incident" and "student-athletes from both teams were on the ground and surrounded by so many individuals that both players were completely obscured from view."
"The video review was inconclusive as to whether individual discipline was appropriate for anyone in the immediate vicinity of the two players who were on the ground," the conference said. "The Big Ten discussed the situation with both institutions and determined that no further action will be taken."
