Pirates trade Hill, Choi to Padres for prospects

According to multiple reports, the Pirates are trading pitcher Rich Hill and Ji-Man Choi.

The 43-year-old Hill was heavily expected to be traded.

He was 7-10 this season with a 4.76 ERA over 22 games.

He had 104 strike outs over 119 innings pitched this season.

The 24-year-old Choi, was injured for a big part of the season, playing in 23 games for the Pirates. He was batting .205 with six home runs, 11 RBI and an OPS of .731.

The Pirates are reportedly getting three prospects for the players.

Audacy sports insider Jon Heyman reports one of those players is Jackson Wolf.

The left-handed pitcher is considered the #16 prospect in the Padres organization. He is currently in Double-A ball and has an ETA of 2024

Wolf is 24-years-old.

The other two players are not on the Padres top 30 prospect list.
