Troy Weaver and the Pistons took a flier on Delon Wright, and now it's paying off.

The former first-round pick has excelled since replacing the injured Killian Hayes as Detroit's starting point guard and turned himself into a trade asset in the process.

The 76ers have already inquired about Wright, according to Bleacher Report. The trade deadline is March 25.

Wright's best game of the season came in a win over Philadelphia last month when he put up a career-high 28 points and nine assists.

The Pistons likely won't be eager to move Wright, who's averaging personal bests in points (10.4) and assists (4.9) in his age-28 season. That includes 22 points and at least seven assists in his three of his last five games. He's signed through 2022.

Beyond that, trading Wright would leave Detroit thin at the point guard position. The club has already traded Derrick Rose to the Knicks -- though it did get Dennis Smith Jr. in return -- and Hayes is likely done for the year.

But the Pistons are in the business of listening. If the right offer for Wright comes along -- namely, more draft capital -- Weaver could certainly pull the trigger.
