Warriors legend and former fan favorite Tim Hardaway reportedly will be inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. NBC Sports Bay Area’s Monte Poole reported the news Thursday afternoon via Twitter.

The five-time All-Star is part of an 11-person 2022 nominee class for the Hall of Fame, which will officially announce its inductees on Saturday morning as part of Final Four festivities in New Orleans.

Hardaway joins former Warriors teammates Chris Mullin and Mitch Richmond in the Hall of Fame, as all three members of the Warriors’ vaunted Run TMC trio from the late 1980s and early 1990s have earned basketball’s highest individual honor.

Throughout his career, Hardaway’s trademark move was his killer crossover, which was also known as the ‘UTEP Two-Step’ in a nod to his alma mater.

From 1989-96, Hardaway electrified the Bay Area with his scoring and dynamic playmaking. The 6-foot point guard made three straight All-Star teams from 1991-93, averaging 22.7 points, 10 assists and 2.2 steals per game in that span. A knee injury caused Hardaway to miss the entire 1993-94 season before he was traded to the Miami Heat in 1996, where he eventually made two more All-Star appearances.

At the tail end of his playing days, Hardaway also made pit stops with the Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets and Indiana Pacers. He averaged 17.7 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game throughout his 13-year career.
