The Mets are apparently on the verge of a blockbuster deal with the Indians.

According to multiple reports, the Mets have agreed to a deal with Cleveland that will bring shortstop Francisco Lindor and RHP Carlos Carrasco to Queens.

Per the same pool of reports, the believed return for Cleveland includes SS Amed Rosario, top infield prospect Andres Gimenez, 2020 second-round pick OF Isaiah Greene, and RHP Josh Wolf, the Mets’ second-round pick in 2019.

Lindor, 27, is in his final year of arbitration eligibility, but is a four-time AL All-Star, two-time Silver Slugger and Gold Glove winner, and considered one of the elite shortstops in baseball. He slashed .258/.335/.415 with eight homers and 27 RBI in 60 games last season, and averaged 34 homers and 85 RBI over the three seasons between 2017-2019.

Carrasco, 33, was 3-4 with a 2.91 ERA in 2020, and is signed through 2022 (the final two years of a four-year, $47 million deal he inked with the Indians in the 2018-19 offseason) with a 2023 team option.
