Ronald Acuña Jr. first major-leaguer to reach double-digit home runs

Before MLB action started on Tuesday, Ronald Acuña Jr. was the league-leader in home runs with nine. Byron Buxton joined him atop the leader board early on, but his sharing of the throne was short-lived.

In the top of the fifth inning, Acuña got ahold of a Joe Ross fastball and took it deep, 407 feet to right-center field.

Acuña is the first major-leaguer to reach double digits in home runs. And he continued his torrid pace. Earlier in the game he laser -beamed (111.8 MPH exit velo) a deep liner to center field, but that potential extra-base knock was robbed with an outstanding catch by Victor Robles.

Entering the game, Acuña was hitting .333 and led the league with a .708 clugging percentage and a 1.139 OPS.
