Deshaun Watson is currently in Cleveland taking a physical and as Browns insider Mary Kay Cabot reports and introductory press conference is planned for Friday.
This news comes amid a report that a second grand jury in Texas is considering evidence in connection with a 10th accusation of sexual misconduct against the former Houston Texans quarterback who was recently traded to the Cleveland Browns.
A grand jury in Houston recently rejected nine criminal cases against Watson with this new accusation outside of the county Houston is in, according to the New York Times.
ESPN NFL Reporter Kimberley A. Martin reports the Browns are aware of the second grand jury.
“Watson’s attorney Rusty Hardin says in the article that the complaint was filed by one of the women involved in the civil lawsuit cases: ‘It’s not a new complaint,’” said Martin.
Watson also faces 22 civil lawsuits related to accusation of various acts of sexual misconduct.
Watson’s contract with the Browns is worth $230 million guaranteed.
It is also believed Watson will be suspended by the NFL, the question that remains is how many games it will be for.
