According to multiple reports, including the man himself, the Steelers have made a trade with the Miami Dolphins to acquire star cornerback Jalen Ramsey.
AND: The Steelers are sending BACK safety Minkah Fitzpatrick to Miami as part of the trade.
AND: Part II: The Steelers have acquired TE Jonnu Smith for a late-round draft pick from Miami.
Trade Details:
Steelers get Ramsey, Smith and a 2027 7th-round draft pick
Dolphins get Fitzpatrick and a 2027 5th-round draft pick.
The 30-year-old Ramsey, taken 5th overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2016, is a three-time All-Pro, seven-time Pro Bowler and won a Super Bowl while with the Los Angeles Rams in 2021.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, “Ramsey will get a $1.5 million raise this season, bringing his 2025 compensation up to $26.6 million.”
Ramsey is another huge piece added to the Steelers this offseason, including wide receiver DK Metcalf and quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
“I think Ramsey can still play,” said Donny Chedrick, reacting to the breaking news.
“I think this really show, given the finances of the deal . . . this does tell me that these guys are going all in on 2025,” added Chedrick.
