They say people should respect their elders, but sadly that doesn’t always happen. Luckily, one man was taught that valuable lesson recently after attempting to steal a grandmother’s purse. Security footage captured the moment the thief was chased down and tackled by the grandmother, as his theft attempt quickly ended with him in a headlock.
As seen in the now viral video, the grandmother chased the man down the street before catching up to him and taking him down in order to retrieve her stolen purse. The incident occurred last month outside a pub in Australia, according to Fox News. Once she got her purse back the woman returned to the bar, as the man drove away in a car defeated.
Many online were impressed, not only by the grandmother’s chase down tackle, but also due to the fact that she did so without wearing shoes. It is unknown if the man was charged with any crimes, but many believe him losing to the grandmother was punishment enough. After this failed attempt, it may be time for the man to give up his life of crime.
