Olson racks up career-high 10 Ks in less than 5 innings, but leaves with Tigers trailing after 100 pitches

Have a night, Reese Olson.

Though it didn't exactly end the way he would have hoped, the Tigers youngster's night got off to a flying start Monday against the Yankees at Comerica Park.

The Yankees' first eight outs of the game came via strike out, as Olson racked up eight Ks, two walks, an error and a hit through three innings of work.

He'd tack on two more in the fourth, finishing with a career-high 10 strikeouts before being pulled when he gave up a one-out RBI double to Gleyber Torres in the fifth, exiting with Detroit trailing 1-0.

The rookie righty has flirted with double-digit strikeouts multiple times this season, including nine in his fifth career start and eight two other times. Entering Monday's game he was posting nine strikeouts per nine innings pitched.
