The Washington Football Team is open to trading quarterback Dwayne Haskins, Ian Rapoport reports for NFL Network.
With Tuesday's 4 p.m. NFL trade deadline looming, Rapoport referenced Haskins in a series of on-air reports, at one point explaining Washington doesn't want to trade the former 15th overall pick, per se, but the Football Team is open to the idea, at the right price.
"It's not like they want to trade him," said Rapoport. "But I am told if someone calls, if there is an offer that they deem acceptable, they would be open to trading their former first-round pick, someone who was benched, obviously, earlier in the season."
"The Washington Football team is open to dealing Dwayne Haskins," Rapoport said in a later appearance. "At one point their franchise quarterback. Has been kind of mired on the bench since they benched him and put in Kyle Allen."
Last Wednesday, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported a source "close to the Haskins situation" had informed him Haskins being traded is "inevitable," whether it happens before the deadline or at a later point, like in the offseason. "You might as well do it now," the source told Fowler.
