Lions running back David Montgomery has a big heart.
After learning that a young Lions fan got his jersey as a birthday gift last year, Montgomery reached out to the boy's father asking if he could sign it. He proceeded to meet the boy to sign the jersey in person, and left him with a moment he'll never forget.
According to the boy's father, Montgomery "told my son if he ever needed advice or help in football or life, he was there for him. Went way out of his way to be kind a mentor for the right reasons."
"Nicest dude ever," said the dad.
Not a bad running back, either.
