After Monday’s slate of two NFL games was seemingly a success, Boomer wonders if the league will make that a habit and try to schedule two games on Martin Luther King Day every year for Super Wild Card Weekend.

“It’s usually the NBA’s day,” Boomer said. “But I’m assuming that Pittsburgh/Buffalo game probably did great ratings, and if did have great ratings, does the NFL decide it doesn’t need that 1:00 game on Sundays…and move that game to Monday?

“So you would have two on Saturday, two on Sunday, and two on Monday.”

If the first weekend of the NFL playoffs falls on Martin Luther King Day, Boomer could see the league running this schedule back again, even if there was originally one game scheduled for Monday, before heavy snow pushed the Bills game back a day. But he also sees the league moving the Super Bowl to Presidents Day weekend if and when the league adds an 18th regular season game.
