Yesterday, we fired a youth baseball coach from Abilene who shoved an umpire to the ground after an argument during a game. Well it's about time the mothers got involved!
A woman in Laurel, MS was arrested after PUNCHING the umpire of her child's softball game!
WLBT reports that Kiara Thomas was initially asked to leave her kid's softball game because she was cursing so loudly. While Thomas did leave the game at the coach's behest, she didn't vacate the premises as she was waiting for the umpire in the parking lot.
When USFA umpire Kristi Moore finished the game and made her way to her car, Thomas confronted her, and PUNCHED her right in the FACE!
Thomas fled the scene but was quickly arrested afterwards and charged with simple assault.
And of course, in her mugshot she's wearing a shirt that reads "Mother of the Year!"
Moore plans to press charges, and Thomas is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
She is also expected to be banned from all recreational facilities in Laurel.
