Rangers manager Chris Woodward walked back his comments about Gleyber Torres’ “Little league” home run in Sunday’s walk-off win for the Yankees, telling reporters “it was a joke” when asked again about him dismissing the home run that still would have been gone in 26 of 30 MLB parks.
Woodward’s initial comments went viral, and were later brought up to Aaron Boone after Sunday’s doubleheader split.

“Not really,” Boone laughed when asked if he had any reaction.
But after a pause, and just before the next question of the postgame interview was asked, Boone decided to chime in with an actual reaction.
“His math is wrong, 99 percent is impossible,” Boone said. “There's only 30 parks.”
Indeed, with 30 parks, the highest percentage would be 96.6 percent, even if Yankee Stadium was the only park that Torres’ home run would have left the park. So, good math on Boone’s part.
