A youth baseball coach in The Colony and his team, have been banned after he pushed an umpire sending him to the hospital.

The incident occurred during a game for 9 and 10 year olds. The coach disagreed with a safe call at home plate and got in the umpire's face verbally assaulting him. The umpire gave him a warning, then ejected him from the game.

That's when the coach reportedly shoved the umpire in the face, causing him to fall backward and hit his head. He was transported to the hospital with a possible concussion.

Police are reviewing the incident and deciding whether the coach should face charges. The coach is from Abilene.

Meanwhile 24 Sports, which hosted the tournament at The Colony Five Star Complex, has banned the coach and his team from competing at the facility.
