(WWJ) There's another porch pirate on the loose in metro Detroit, and police need help to identify her.
Madison Heights police were called to a home in the 29000 block of Mark Ave. on Tuesday on a report of the theft of a package worth $350.
The residents determined, while reviewing footage from a doorbell camera, that woman had stolen the package off their porch at around 11:30 a.m. last Saturday.

The suspect, seen in video footage released by police, is described as a younger black female with shoulder length straight dark hair. She's approximately 5'8" tall and 140 lbs., and was wearing a black hoodie, black pants, a black face mask and white boots.

She pulled up to the home in a red four-door Nissan sedan with tinted windows, and drove off in it with the stolen package, police said.
As of December, 2019, a law targeting "porch pirates" creates state penalties for stealing mail or packages in Michigan, allowing for more options for state prosecution. Under Public Act 48, a first offense is a misdemeanor, punishable by up to a year in jail and a $500 fine. A repeat offense is a felony, punishable by to five years in prison a $1,000 fine.
Madison Heights Police detectives who are currently investigating this incident ask anyone who can ID the suspect, or who has any information, to call them at 248-837-2737.
