Christy Smith is the founder and principal of Presley Wealth Management. As an Investment Adviser Representative, she is focused on helping clients work toward their retirement dreams through a well-thought-out strategy for retirement income. Since Christy opened the doors of The Presley Group in 2006, she has helped hundreds of retirees and transitioning boomers prepare for their financial independence.
Christy got her start in the insurance industry in 1997, working with Medicare supplements and long-term care insurance. She truly enjoys helping people build a retirement plan that will weather the storms in life and help preserve retirement income.
Christy holds a life and health insurance license in Louisiana and passed the Series 65 securities exam. She also earned her Certified in Long-Term Care (CLTC) designation. She attended Southeastern Louisiana University.
Christy co-hosts the weekly radio show “Your Money Matters” and has been published or quoted in The Wall Street Journal, U.S. News & World Report, MarketWatch and Kiplinger. In addition, she has been featured on Fox 44 News and NBC. She also wrote the book “Plan, Protect, Preserve.”
Christy lives in Denham Springs, Louisiana, with her husband, Richard. They have three children, Alexis, Coleman and Presley, as well as five horses and two dogs.
In her free time, Christy enjoys Louisiana State football and baseball and watching her youngest daughter’s horse competitions. Christy also loves to spend time with her family and work in her yard.
