Jayden Daniels to Commanders: LSU's star QB lands at No. 2 in 2024 NFL Draft
Jayden Daniels dominated college football in 2023, and he's now headed to the Commanders.
The Commanders picked Daniels at No. 2 overall, the second QB off the board following Caleb Williams to the Bears.
Daniels is the first quarterback taken and the highest selection for the Tigers since Joe Burrow went No. 1 overall in the 2020 draft.
The selection marks the next step in a college journey that began at Arizona State and ended with a Heisman season at LSU.
Daniels saw his stock rise drastically, not unlike Burrow, in his final season at LSU, completing 72% of his passes for xxxx and 40 touchdowns against just 4 interceptions, while rushing for another 1,134 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Daniels is the first of three Tigers players expected to be selected in the first round, along with wide receivers Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr.
