Audacy

"Courtney P" is a New Orleans original who returned home to be closer to her family and live in the city she loves. During the Covid pandemic, Courtney made a pivot from a career in higher education as an Academic Advisor/Adjunct Professor to the pursuit of her dream job, an On-Air Talent.

Well, Courtney P is proof that dreams do come true! Pretty quickly she became a local micro influencer through an online game show she created called "Do You NO-LA." It was through the popularity of that show that she was given the opportunity to co-host a local midday talk radio show. The woman who loves people and social engagement also became a formidable speaking talent, landing several impressive jobs as the official host of Bayou Classic Fan Fest, NOLA Black Wealth Weekend, and delivering keynote addresses for a variety of events.

In 2022, Courtney joined our WWL News Team with responsibilities as a news anchor and news and traffic reporter. She relishes the opportunity to connect with everyday people – to interview community, business and political leaders – and to create and share stories that really matter.

Courtney is a devoted mother to her beautiful daughter, Koy…and strives to live a life that exemplifies pursuing your dreams. In 2023, Courtney won the title of Ms Black Louisiana and went on to become the third runner up in the national Ms Black USA pageant 2024.

Courtney P is an advocate for our community volunteering in many capacities and hosting annual community events like: Cookies and Crafts with Santa, Ms. Black Louisiana, also a partnership with NORD for the annual Spooktacular, garnering her the moniker “The Queen of Scream!”

She is a proud of member Franklin Avenue Baptist Church and believes in Faith over Fear as a mindset for life. Courtney’s life’s motto is “Life is a journey not a destination, so take the scenic route!”

Chris Miller

Chris Miller

Audacy

Chris Miller has been part of the WWL news team since 2000, bringing decades of experience, sharp instincts, and steady judgment to the stories that matter most in Louisiana and across the Gulf South.

Chris came to WWL from the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where he spent three years working in both television and radio. During that time, he earned awards for his coverage of Hurricane Georges in 1998, helping communities understand a major storm and its aftermath. Before that, Chris covered news in his hometown of Mobile, Alabama, and even earlier got his first real taste of the business as an intern at WWL-TV — an early connection that would later bring him home to radio.

Since joining WWL, Chris has built a reputation as one of the station’s most reliable and accomplished reporters. He has been named Louisiana Associated Press Reporter of the Year multiple times and has earned regional and national Edward R. Murrow Awards from the Radio Television Digital News Association, recognition of his commitment to accuracy, depth, and responsible journalism.

A graduate of Tulane University, Chris is deeply connected to New Orleans and the region he covers. You’ll hear that local knowledge and perspective in his reporting, whether he’s covering breaking news, major storms, or the everyday stories that define life in South Louisiana.

Off the air, Chris enjoys following the Saints and Pelicans, and while his loyalty lies with the Green Wave, he’ll occasionally pull for LSU - as long as it doesn’t conflict with Tulane.

Chris Miller brings experience, credibility, and a calm, trusted presence to the WWL news team, the kind of reporter you want on the story when it really matters.
