Jordan Jefferson to Jaguars: LSU DT the 3rd Tiger to land in Jacksonville
The path from LSU to Jacksonville has been worn out in the 2024 draft, with defensive tackle Jordan Jefferson landing with the Jaguars at No. 116 overall.
The selection marked the fifth LSU player to land in the pros, and the third with Jacksonville, alongside WR Brian Thomas in the first round and DT Maason Smith in the second round. Quarterback Jayden Daniels went No. 2 overall to the Commanders and WR Malik Nabers landed with the Giants at No. 6.
Jefferson began his career at West Virginia but transferred to LSU after the 2022 season. In his lone season at LSU he totaled 36 tackles, seven TFLs and 2.5 sacks.
The Tigers could see at least one more player selected with Mekhi Wingo a possible Day 3 pick.
