Watch: Ex-Saints Zack Baun, Jameis Winston have hilarious exchange at Super Bowl media night

The Saints aren't in the Super Bowl this year, but the former Saints are certainly well represented.

That group includes former Saints linebacker Zack Baun, who starred with the Eagles this past season and took the podium for media night. In the audience with a microphone was former Saints quarterback Jameis Winston, serving as Fox Sports' social media correspondent for the week. The results were exactly as unhinged and hilarious as you'd expect, with Winston ducking down to yell Baun's name before lobbing some questions his way.

Winston had a few softball questions to lob, like "what's you favorite color" (it's orange), but he also asked about Baun's landing spot in Philadelphia where starred while racking up 151 tackles and is in contention for the NFL's defensive player of the Year award.

“It’s really cool and special, man. We had so many conversations about what our future would hold being free agents, but just being somewhere who wanted you and being in the environment, how much the environment impacts you, it’s really cool.”

Philadelphia defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, known as the DC for the famed Dome Patrol defensive era, also chatted with WWL's Bobby Hebert about how he was able to identify and unlock Baun within the Eagles' scheme. Baun was a third-round pick of the Saints in the 2020 draft but was buried on the depth chart, primarily playing on special teams before departing in free agency last offseason.

“He didn’t play a lot of defense, so the tape was limited," Fangio said. "I just liked the way he moved, I saw some instincts, so I was intrigued. I thought he could do it.”
