The long-anticipated New Orleans Saints trip to Paris will be happening in 2026, after all.
The league announced Monday that a deal has been reached for the first-ever NFL game in Paris. The game will be be hosted at Stade de France, the largest stadium in the nation with a capacity of 80,000.
French media outlet RMCSport reported over the weekend that the Saints would face off with the Browns in the game, which would be scheduled for Oct. 25. Those details were not in the NFL's official announcement.
"We are excited to be selected to play in the first regular season game to take place in France," said Saints team owner Gayle Benson in a news release. "This moment is special not only because of the strong cultural connection between Louisiana and France, but also because we will compete before a growing Saints fan base in Paris."
A Saints trip to Paris has long felt likely with the team already holding international marketing rights. There was some waffling in recent months over the potential location of the game. The Saints have already formed a strategic partnership with the Paris Musketeers, of the European League of Football. Gayle Benson, Demario Davis and others from the Saints organization were hosted on a visit to France last year.
The league confirmed seven other international games for the coming season, including games in Brazil, Germany, Australia, Spain and three in London.
"Bringing a regular season game to Paris in 2026 marks an exciting next step in the continued expansion of the league's global footprint," said NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in a news release." Paris is one of the world's greatest sporting and cultural cities with tremendous success in hosting global events that unite fans on the biggest stages."
The Saints trip to Paris will mark their fourth international game and their first since they faced the Vikings in London in Week 4 of the 2022 season.
The Saints say they have adjusted 2026 season ticket and parking package pricing by 10% to reflect the number of games scheduled at the Caesars Superdome. Accounts not yet paid in full will automatically see a one game 10% adjustment applied to remaining payments and updated payment plans.
Editor's note: An earlier version of this story included the opponent and date of the Paris game as part of the NFL's announcement. Those details have been reported independently and have not been officially announced.
