The New Orleans Saints have four players ruled out ahead of a Thursday Night Football showdown with Sean Payton's Broncos, and another two are listed as doubtful.
That's a star-studded group that includes WRs Chris Olave (concussion) and Rashid Shaheed (knee), LB Pete Werner (hamstring) and RG Cesar Ruiz (knee). Head coach Dennis Allen revealed on Friday that Shaheed is expected to miss a significant amount of time and could require surgery to repair a meniscus issue.
The Saints also listed Taysom Hill (rib) and Derek Carr (oblique) as doubtful, but those two players are highly unlikely to play. Hill has not played since leaving early during Week 4 against the Falcons.

The Saints will have two questionable players to watch in C/G Lucas Patrick (chest) and DT Khalen Saunders (back), who have gone in different directions. Patrick missed the first day of practice but was back as a limited participant in the final two. Saunders was a full participant in the first few days but arrived on the injury report Wednesday for the first time. He's been active the last three games after missing the first three weeks of the season with a calf injury.
Denver will be without star cornerback Patrick Surtain, and they'll have a trip of questionable players to monitor.
