Saints Week 3 injury report, Thursday: Taysom Hill returns, familiar name added for Eagles

The New Orleans Saints got a bit of good news on their Thursday injury report with the return of a pair of players who were held out to start the week.

That duo includes Taysom Hill, whom head coach Dennis Allen expressed optimism about as he works back from a chest injury, and LB D'Marco Jackson, who was practicing for the first times since injuring his calf in the final days of training camp. There were also two names added to the report in S Will Harris and WR A.T. Perry.

Scroll below for the initial Saints injury report for Week 3.
DNP = did not participate; LP = limited participation; FP = full participation

- LB Jaylan Ford (hamstring): FP | FP
- WR Rashid Shaheed (hip): FP | FP
- CB Marshon Lattimore (hamstring): LP | LP
- OT Taliese Fuaga (back): LP | LP
- S Tyrann Mathieu (heel): LP | LP
- WR Cedrick Wilson (abdomen): LP | LP
- LB D'Marco Jackson (calf): DNP | LP
- DT Khalen Saunders (calf): DNP | DNP
- TE Taysom Hill (chest): DNP | LP
- OT Landon Young (foot): DNP | DNP
- S Will Harris (shin): n/a | DNP
- WR A.T. Perry (illness): n/a | LP

DT Khalen Saunders was spotted early on in the portion of practice open to the media, but he ultimately did not participate in practice. Otherwise the Saints will have to monitor the statuses of veteran CB Marshon Lattimore ( hamstring) who missed Week 2, and rookie LT Taliese Fuaga, who played through a back injury last week. Both players were limited for a second day, a step forward for Fuaga who missed the Thursday and Friday sessions last week.

The Eagles officially practiced on Thursday for the first time this week coming off of Monday Night Football and the status of star WR A.J. Brown appears to be in serious jeopardy. One more familiar name was added in the form of safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson, who is dealing with a foot injury. If the former Saints DB can't play, it'd mark the third time he failed to get on the field for a game against the Saints.

Here's how things shape up on the Eagles' side of the equation ...
- WR A.J. Brown (hamstring): DNP | DNP
- WR Johnny Wilson (hamstring): DNP | DNP
- S C.J. Gardner-Johnson (foot): n/a | DNP
