It's been a long time coming for the Saints.
The home crowd hadn't witnessed its team win in almost a calendar year, dating back to a victory over the Browns in Week 11 of the 2024 season. That meant two things: A game ball for head coach Kellen Moore -- presented by Alvin Kamara -- and a return of the locker room club dub at the Caesars Superdome.
The other game balls after the 26-15 win over the Giants went to Kool-Aid McKinstry and, of course, Spencer Rattler who picked up his first career win as a starting QB.
"Appreciate you guys, love you guys," Moore said in a video posted by the team. "Hey, this hasn't been the easiest month. Your resiliency has shown up each and every week. OK, we've got one. Now we carry the momentum. Start stacking these, and let's get ready to roll."
The postgame celebration included the return of club dub and a music and light show that was built into the Saints locker room during the recent renovation. It hasn't been used nearly as often as the team probably hoped.
“It’s been a while since we had the fog and the music playing afterward,” safety Jordan Howden said. “I almost forgot how that was.”
Win No. 1 in the books. Next up: Patriots back at the dome.
