This might make you want to keep an eye out on your next delivery.
Rodney King, Jr. of Detroit, Michigan ordered a pizza through DoorDash and was waiting patiently for it to arrive.
He was monitoring the doorbell camera to see when the delivery would arrive, and what he saw next made him lose his appetite.
When the driver approached the front door, he accidentally dropped the pizza and it fell out of the box.
"When the guy was walking up to our porch, we saw that he was holding the pizza veritically, so from there I knew for a fact that the pizza was outside of the box," King told FOX.
The driver reportedly scraped it the pizza off the concrete and placed it back in the box as if nothing had happened.
"So afterward he looked at the pizza and went to scoop it up, put back in the box and make it look as pretty as he could. He picked up all the crumbs and everything and walked off," King recalled as he caught the whole event on camera.
While King wanted to give the driver the benefit of the doubt, the driver didn't remedy the situation. He told the outlet that he got no call, no refund, and no pizza other than the one that has a little brush in with the ground.
"As soon as I saw the pizza hit the floor, my heart sank a little bit," he said. "I was hungry but I was really hoping that he would do the right thing."
King said he filed a complaint with DoorDash, and they took care of the issue telling FOX: "This inappropriate and unacceptable behavior is never tolerated on the DoorDash platform. The dasher involved was immediately deactivated, and we have been in touch with the customer and fully refunded the order. We sincerely regret that this incident fell short of the experience we strive to provide every day."
King's pizza was refunded, and he said he will continue ordering from DoorDash.
