NOLA mayor honors the lives lost due to the pandemic

New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell honored the lives lost to COVID-19 on the one-year anniversary of the pandemic in Louisiana.

“This year has been more difficult than anyone could have imagined, but our city has proven its strength and ability to overcome,” Mayor Cantrell said at a memorial ceremony on Tuesday. “We have faced these challenges together. We will recover, we will rebuild, and we will be stronger together!”

Since one year ago, The LDH has reported 434,926 total confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 9,769 deaths due to the pandemic in Louisiana.
