Physical confrontation mars UL-JMU pregame warmups
By Mark Menard Jan 06, 2024
Tempers flared Thursday night in the Cajundome before Louisiana’s matchup with James Madison.
The Ragin’ Cajuns’ coach Bob Marlin was on the court during the pregame greetings between teams when someone from the JMU side appears to take a swipe at him.
Marlin moved towards the possible perpetrator angrily before being urged off the court while players exchanged words.
No punches were thrown as security got control of the situation.
Louisiana’s home winning stream was halted at 19 in the game as James Madison took the victory 68-61.
The Cajuns host Coastal Carolina Saturday at 7pm in their next outing.
