Surveillance video shows how a man was carjacked while he was pumping gas. It happened Monday at a gas station in the 4500 block of Chef Menteur.
The video shows a tan-colored SUV parked at the gas pump next to a man pumping gas in a white Honda Accord.
Watch as two men get out of the SUV, one walks away while the other man crouches low and creeps up to the passenger side of the Honda.
He then opens the passenger door, climbs across to the driver’s seat, then starts the car, and drives away.
The driver of the gold SUV quickly drives off to follow the now stolen Honda. The man was left standing there alone and appearing confused as to what just happened.
The NOPD also says that the stolen Honda Accord was used in a series of auto burglaries and theft across the city.
