NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Video making the rounds on TikTok and Twitter shows a man punching a woman in the face after he loses his composure in a crowded subway car.
Although when exactly the incident happened isn't known, it played out on a D train and footage started with a man shouting to the woman "say it to my face now!"
The man then said, "Tell me to take a chill pill! Say the word chill pill." She immediately fires back, "Chill pill" in a flat tone.
The man quickly punches the woman in the face, garnering a negative reaction from the filmer and those around them, but no one retaliates against him, while the woman remains stoic.
The man, undeterred, walks away and says to the woman he punched, “Mind your business. Say it again … I’m dealing with my f—ing kids. All these other racists out here, mind your business ... when I'm standing on the train, move out the way."
He continues on a rant that appears to be directed at others in the car, not just the woman he punched, “I’m ready to f— anything up in my business, holler at me man.”
Police did not immediately respond to a request for comment, but told the New York Post it was “aware of the incident” and is investigating.
Other information into what led up to the punch wasn’t known, but the TikTok was captioned, “This man was already made tight off life when he came in the car, telling ppl to gtfo him & his kids way.”
The poster also claimed that the man standing next to the victim was her boyfriend.
Sources told the Post that the victim did not report the incident.
The Twitter repost garnered over 2.7 million views as of Thursday night.
