Former Facebook data scientist Frances Haugen continued to hammer away at her ex-employer in Congressional testimony on Tuesday.

The whistleblower, who appeared on CBS' "60 Minutes" on Sunday, testified before the U.S. Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Consumer Protection.  Haugen told lawmakers Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and other top company officials elevate profits over safety.  Haugen said, "Facebook's products harm children, stoke division and weaken our democracy."

Facebook officials have categorically denied Haugen's allegations.

Members of Congress have been reluctant to impose tighter regulations on Facebook and other social media companies.  Digital marketing expert Adam Rizzieri, the co-founder of Dallas-based Agency Partner Interactive, discussed the ongoing controversy with KRLD's Chris Sommer.
