Nike just unveiled a customizable Pride collection in honor of LGBTQIA+ communities.

The sneaker and sportswear company revealed its 2021 Be True collection that celebrates both sport and radical inclusivity together.

On June 15, the latest launch will be available that features four styles with nine velcro LGBTQIA+ flags representing different diverse orientations and backgrounds. The flags are custom-tailored and can be placed on whatever shoe you would like.

Nike’s Blazer ’77 Low, the Air Max Pre Day, the All Out Utility Slide, and the Infinity React Run 2 are the new shoes for Pride Month. All styles have vibrantly bright colors.

The Be True Collection campaign also features Nike brand ambassador Gia Parr. Parr made headlines when she announced her transition to her middle school in 2018.

In a post, Parr shared her history and revealed details about her coming-out story. She discussed how hard it was to tell her parents, friends, and family.

“The way I advocate doesn’t really vary from group to group,” Parr said. “For me, it doesn’t really matter whether or not they have a rich history or if it’s a fairly new program.”

She continued, “Even in sports, I view it through the lens of community, not competition. I want to bring my energy through my story and hope that I can educate and inspire people. Everyone can add to that bigger energy by telling their story.”

Nike has partnered with Human Rights Campaign, which advocates for the LGBTQIA+ community.
