VIDEO: Melania Trump welcomes White House Christmas tree, an 18.5-foot-tall Fraser fir from WV
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- First lady Melania Trump on Monday welcomed the arrival of this year's White House Christmas tree, an 18 1/2-foot Fraser fir from West Viriginia.

"Merry Christmas," Melania told reporters. Unlike in past years, neither the president nor son Barron, 14, joined her.

Two large Clydesdale horses brought the tree up the White House’s northern driveway in a wagon as the U.S. Marine band played "O Tannenbaum" and "Hark the Herald Angels Sing." Melania walked around the wagon and inspected the tree, which will go in the White House's Blue Room.
The tree comes from Dan and Bryan Tree Farm, and owners Dan and Anne Taylor attended the event.
