DOLLY DAY: CELEBRATE DOLLY, GIVE A BOOK, SUPPORT A CHILD!
Join 99.5 WYCD and Macomb Township Parks and Recreation for a fun-filled evening celebrating the life, music and love of reading inspired by Dolly Parton! Bring the whole family for an evening of music, crafts, books, hangout with real ponies and plenty of Dolly-inspired fun!
Bring a New Book & Enter to Win!
Bring a new book and enter for your chance to win tickets to see Dan + Shay, Tyler Hubbard and Josh Ross at Pine Knob on October 3! We’ll be giving away four pairs of tickets! A book donation is not required to enter. All new books donated during Dolly Day will be go to the Kiwanis Club of Macomb, which will distribute them to local children in our community.
Guests who donate a new book or make a monetary donation to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library will also be invited to add their name to our special Dolly Butterfly Wall by creating a paper butterfly to display.
Winners will be selected at 6:45 p.m., and you do not need to be present to win! Tickets will be emailed directly to the winners.
Rock and Read with Dolly’s Coat of Many Colors
At 5:00 p.m., WYCD’s Holly Hutton, co-host of The Rob + Holly Show, will lead us in a special reading of Dolly Parton’s beloved Coat of Many Colors.
The Clinton-Macomb Public Library will be onsite with a create-your-own Dolly-inspired guitar and/or Coat of Many Colors craft! Children can also enjoy Dolly-themed coloring pages and crayons, along with fun WYCD temporary tattoos.
After the story, the celebration continues with Dolly’s greatest hits, dancing, singing and pony rides provided by Lake Pointe Equestrian Center!
We’ll wrap up the evening with one final Dolly sing-along at 7:00 p.m., right after the contest winners are selected!
