As the Shell Falcon Pipeline moves into western Pennsylvania, community members are worried what the pipeline construction will do to the environment.
Because of these concerns, the Alliance for Aquatic Resource Monitoring, Mountain Watershed Association, and the Breathe Project are joining forces to offer a free workshop this Saturday, March 23rd to educate residents on how to keep their local environments safe.
The workshop will teach residents how to detect water pollution, and how to assess and report violations during the pipeline construction, including erosion and sedimentation control and drilling fluid spills.
The workshop will be held at Fern Hollow Nature Center at 1901 Glen Mitchell Road in Sewickley from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
