Country music legend Kenny Rogers has died. He was 81.
The sad news was posted to Kenny's social media accounts. Rogers passed away from natural causes Friday night at 10:25pm, surrounded by family at his home.
The three-time GRAMMY award winner had 24 number one hits over a career that spanned more than 60 years. He was a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and a six-time CMA Awards winner. Rogers was also the recipient of the CMA Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013 and, in a poll conducted by USA Today and People, was voted "Favorite Singer of All Time."
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will hold a small, private service, but the family intends to celebrate the life of Kenny with friends and fans in the future.
