Local artist Jeremy Raymer has painted countless pieces on buildings and walls all across Pittsburgh but his latest piece might be the King.

Raymer, who was previously a senior test engineer, is known for his pop-culture pieces says a friend of his and local artist Chiaka Hauze, who has since unfortunately passed away pained a tiger a block down from Raymer’s studio.

Raymer tells KDKA Radio, “this tiger matched up near perfectly with one of the images of the Tiger King.

The Netflix series “Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness”, is a documentary that has taken the nation by storm and has prompted countless memes, analysis and more.

“Tiger King” is an outrageous documentary about people obsessed with big cats and includes a murder-for-hire story and….you just have to watch it!

“We all know we are in the midst of an unprecedented pandemic. For some reason, the public and world over have found solace/distraction/intrigue in this show and its characters. It’s the number one show according to Rotten Tomatoes,” said Raymer.

The mural of “Joe Exotic” is at Moultrie and Tustin Streets right behind the Forbes Field garage.

“I think it goes without saying the Tiger King is something the public is fascinated by and not someone we strive to be,” said Raymer.  “I wanted to go out and create a piece to provide some distraction to the current state of the world.”
