Why Wildlife Center Wants Your Used Mascara Wands To Help Their Animals

One woman's trash is an animal's life-saving treasure.


Prairie Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, in Winnipeg, Canada, is asking people to donate used and cleaned mascara wands, rather than throwing them away.

The animal rescue uses them as brushes to clean insects and debris from feathers and fur.

They're especially important for removing stuck burr plants, which contains seeds that are highly toxic to animals.
