Kenny Chesney's concert at Heinz Field has been postponed.
The country superstar made the official announcement on social media Thursday afternoon.
No word yet on a rescheduled date.
The concert was originally scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 30th as part of Chesney's "Chillaxification Tour 2020."
The Pittsburgh concert was postponed due to ongoing Coronavirus concerns and restrictions.
In mid-March, parts of Pennsylvania were put under stay-at-home orders by Governor Tom Wolf in an attempt to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and many public gatherings of large, such as those at concerts could no longer take place amid the various restrictions. By April 1st, the entire state was under the Governor's stay-at-home order. While many counties in Southwestern PA, including Allegheny County are set to move into yellow on Friday, May 15, large gatherings are still prohibited in this phase.
The concert was to have featured special guests Florida Georgia Line, Old Dominion and Michael Franti & Spearhead.
