Can you imagine how hard it would be to be a kid who wants to play like a regular 9-year-old, but juvenile rheumatoid arthritis holds you back?
While Nevin struggles with it, he is making the best out of it and helping other special needs kids in the process.
Nevin wasn't able to play sports like normal kids, so he decided at a turkey hunt he wanted to do something special and get all of his friends together for a special hunt.
After starting the hunting group four years ago, making Nevin 13-years-old now, the group does quite a few hunts a year for kids ranging from 7-16 with special needs.
Daniel Burns, the President and Events Coordinator of Nevin's Hunting Group talked to Y'd Awake about the organization and how they're getting special needs kids out into the wilderness.
Nevin's Hunting Group is doing a hunt Saturday, but they have more activities coming up in the future!
If you know someone that would be interested in the group, please check out their website.
What an AWESOME idea Nevin!
Keep up the great work and happy hunting!
