Carly Pearce has certainly been dealing with a lot of changes in her life, whether it's her divorce from Michael Ray, losing her producer Busbee last year, or just simply being off the road due to the pandemic. But for Carly, those changes aren't necessarily a bad thing when it comes to her music.
"I think that a lot of things have happened to me, and I think that life sometimes throws you a lot of curve balls," she shares. "And I think that in those moments is when you really step out and take a leap of faith and shine."
She says dealing with all of that made her realize what direction she wants her music to go in in the future.
"I've always wanted to be the country girl, and this has been a huge blessing for me to really step out and own that," she says. "And I'm obviously really grateful for that in a roundabout way."
