Dieting is the WORST!

We all know how difficult it can be to lose those extra pounds, but imagine the pressure of trying to maintain your weight on national TV.

Carrie Underwood recently did an interview for Women's Health magazine and talked about her weight after American Idol.

Carrie admits to reading message boards critiquing her weight gain after Idol in 2005 and it motivated her to start counting calories when she went on the “American Idols Live! Tour.”

In the Women's Health article Carrie said, “I was sleeping better, and I had more energy for our grueling schedule,” but she pushed the diet further and further until she was eating as few as 800 calories a day.
“I would ‘fall off the wagon,’ then feel terrible and repeat the cycle. Your body is screaming out, ‘I need more calories, I need more carbs!'”

Carrie said this diet wasn't manageable at all and that's why she released her own fitness manual, “Find Your Path: Honor Your Body, Fuel Your Soul, and Get Strong with the Fit52 Life”, which has a more structured, healthy way of keeping in shape while still tracking her calories.

On top of eating well, Carrie tries to work out seven days a week.
