Granger Smith returned to the stage over the weekend in Chicago, only a few weeks after the death of his three-year-old son River.
As with any family who just lost their child, this was going to be extremely difficult for him.
Video shows Granger performing the song “Heaven Bound Balloons” in tribute to his son, and it’s easy to see that he was getting emotional during the performance.
When it ended, Granger pulled a reminder of his son out of his pocket, a Lightning McQueen toy car, and he got so choked up he had to walk off stage to compose himself.
WOW.
Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with Granger and his entire family.
