It's that time once again to GET REAL.. This week's topic - BUGGIES and how they're always all over the place in the parking lot!
It grinds my gears when I pull into the grocery store or a mall parking lot and I have to play Mario Cart when it comes to avoiding all of the shopping carts! There are shopping cart areas for a reason and that reason is.. for you to take a few extra steps to put them in there!
Just the other day I was at the grocery store and I saw a man who parked at the far end of the lot, look around briefly to make sure he wasn't going to get caught and then leave his buggie right next to wear his car was parked as he drove away, not thinking twice about it! I understand parking far away from all the other cars (refer back to the Let's Get Real where I talk about parking), BUT the buggie is YOUR responsibility and it's on you to put it away!
Once you go into the store and get a buggie, it's on you what happens to that buggie. Running into peoples ankles, leaving it in the aisles blocking people and then making sure it returns to it's rightful home all falls on you! PLAIN AND SIMPLE. You probably didn't know so much responsibility came with a shopping cart did you?! And don't try telling me there are employees in the store that can get it. Yes, it's their job to round them up from the cart area, BUT it's their job to chase them around the ENTIRE parking lot!
Moral of the story: If you're going to use a buggie, return it to the place you got it from! Seriously it's sad that I have to say that because this is like a lesson for a toddler about putting toys away..
