You may have heard the story of second grader Kaley Bastine who took over the news this weekend with her great fundraising story. If not, allow me to explain.

Kaley is a seven-year-old from Natrona Heights who aspires to be a police officer and has been raising money for the Harrison Township Police Department in an effort to get more protective gear for the police department, as well as a K9!

Kaley has successfully had a lemonade stand, a cookie stand and a cash wash to raise over $3,000 for the department, but this time she wanted to do more.

Saturday Kaley and her family held a hot dog fundraiser at Bird Dog’s Sports Bar and Grill in Natrona Heights in hopes to raise $1,000, but they did so much more than that!

Thanks to the help of Walmart and the locals businesses, Kaley raised over $10,000!

Listen to what Kaley and her mom, Jamie, had to say to the Y'd Awake Morning Show about their fundraising efforts!

Keep up the great work Kaley!

We can't wait to see what else you do in the future!
